World Grand Champion Cavender photo presentation

The official portrait of 2024 World Grand Champion Cavender was recently presented to the Tennessee Commissioner of Agriculture, Dr. Charlie Hatcher.
The official World Grand Champion portrait, by photographer Shane Shiflet, commemorates Cavender's first World Grand Championship win. It was unveiled in December at the TWHBEA Awards Banquet and is displayed at Ellington Center, home of the Tennessee Department of Agriculture. On hand for the presentation of the portrait were (pictured from left to right) Warren Wells, TWHNC CEO, Amanda Wright, TWHBEA Executive Committee President, Commissioner Hatcher, Andy Holt, Deputy Commissioner, Mark Farrar, TWHBEA CEO, Tim Smith, trainer and rider of the champion, Knox Blackburn, owner of EquiKnox Farm, Bruce MacDonald, owner of Cavender with wife, Robin (not pictured), and Jeffrey Howard, Chairman of the TWHNC Board.

The first Friday night of The Celebration always brings with it the first of the Fine Harness classes and the exciting split of the Three-Year-Old Stallions.
