Obituary – Ferne Eileene (Bauer) Crawford

Ferne Eileene Crawford, age 92 of Georgetown, Ohio died Sunday, November 29, 2020 at the Ohio Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ripley, Ohio. Ferne was a LPN at the former Brown County General Hospital, a former member of the Georgetown Police Department, the Brown County Dispatch office and the Brown County Auditor’s office. She had an extreme love of horses and horseback riding. Ferne was born April 16, 1928 in Russellville, Ohio the daughter of the late Alton H. and Maude F. (Prine) Bauer. She was also preceded in death by her husband – Eddie Crawford in 1993 and one sister – Idella F. Bauer.
Mrs. Crawford is survived by four children – Velvet Jean Beckelhimer of Amanda, Ohio, Diana Lynn Courts and husband Richard of Georgetown, Ohio, Galen Wayne Beckelhimer and wife Linda of Georgetown, Ohio and Edward Dean Crawford of Shelbyville, Tennessee; ten grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; one brother – Alton Bauer and wife Mary Ellen of Georgetown, Ohio; two half sisters – Rosina Bohrer of Mowrystown, Ohio and Gloria Blair of Sardinia, Ohio; one half brother – Howard Bauer of Milford, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
Services are pending at this time at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio.
