Elizabeth Jane Miller, born in Elberton on September 22, 1973, died at home in Murfreesboro, TN on June 4, 2020. She was 46.

The oldest daughter of James Cleveland Miller, II and Carmelita Burnham Anderson Miller, Elizabeth was 3rd Honor Graduate of the 1992 graduating class at Elbert County High School. She furthered her education at Mercer University (MU), University of Georgia (UGA), and Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). Elizabeth was a member of First Baptist Church of Elberton.

At a young age, she was introduced to horses by her Aunt Carolyn, a Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration Hall of Fame member, and quickly fell in love with the horse world. Together, they participated in Tennessee Walking Horse events near and far for many years, as well as co-owned C&E Farms, LLC. She previously worked as a writer for The Walking Horse Report and as a purchasing agent for World Champion Horse Equipment.

Survivors include her mother, Lita, of Elberton; sister, Carrie Kate Miller Bowen and her husband Ray of Elberton; niece, Alex Oglesby of Elberton; uncles: Bobby Lee of Hartwell and Lester and Kathy Lee of Elberton; and numerous cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Cleve; grandmothers: Corra Jane Tate Miller and Clara Clyde Day Anderson Lee; and beloved aunt, Carolyn Jane Miller.

Memorial services celebrating Elizabeth’s life will be held on Sunday, June 14, at 2 o’clock in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Purvis officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her father in the family lot of Elmhurst Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00p.m. on Saturday, June 13.
