Celebration forms committee to help with class sheet
Monday, November 30, 2020
The Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration (TWHNC) hosted the first meeting of its newly formed class sheet committee on November 23, 2020. The committee consists of Nathan Clark, Justin Jenne, Jennifer Bingham, Laurie Toone, Howard Hamilton and Amy Trimble.
The committee has been tasked with looking at the previous class sheets from The Celebration and making recommended changes to the schedule moving forward. “We are looking forward to creating several committees with stakeholders in the industry to help create positive change at The Celebration. This committee is comprised of diverse individuals that we feel can help create a better class sheet moving forward,” said Celebration director Jeffrey Howard.
The committee will meet over the next several weeks and create a draft class sheet that will be released publicly and allow for public comment. Those comments will then be reviewed by the committee and any changes made. The class sheet will then go to the full Celebration board for approval and official release.
“We are looking forward to allowing the committee to start with a blank slate and fill in our class sheet based upon industry trends, wants and needs of our exhibitors and a focus on an entertaining schedule for our fans,” said Howard. Although the committee will have a blank slate, all of those involved remain committed to many of the traditions at The Celebration that the fans have come to expect and enjoy.
The committee expects to release a tentative schedule by mid-January with a final completion date set for April 1st.
